FUEL KICK OFF JAM-PACKED 2024 WITH CREED’S ‘SUMMER OF ‘99’ CRUISE

April 18, 2024

LOS ANGELES (April 18, 2024)  — Entering a new era, GRAMMY Award-nominated multi-platinum rock band Fuel are taking on 2024 with a head full of steam — and it’s all thanks to buzzed-about upcoming tour dates, a decidedly killer lineup, as well as an arsenal of new music on the way. As if that wasn’t enough, Fuel jumpstarts its jam-packed few months today by heading off on Creed’s much-anticipated Summer of ’99 cruise. Spread over four monumental days on the water, Fuel, one of the 90’s most celebrated alt-rock acts, will be gigging at sea alongside not only a reunited Creed but also some of the 90’s other most-beloved rock bands. To cap things off, Fuel returns one week later to once again cruise with Creed for Round Two of the Summer of ’99 Cruise.

It’s just the beginning of what promises to be arguably one of Fuel’s most iconic years yet. The legendary band — that with 2021’s Ånomåly saw founding guitarist Carl Bell and longtime drummer Kevin Miller reunite after nearly two decades apart —hits the road this summer taking the stage at massive festivals including Creed’s Summer of ’99 and Beyond Festival in San Bernardino in late-August. Anchored by founding member Bell – who wrote, produced and even mixed Ånomåly –  the band is rounded out with a highly-potent lineup that includes longtime member Kevin Miller [drums], Mark Klotz [guitar, vocals], Tommy Nataloni [bass, vocals] and Aaron Scott [lead vocals, guitar].

In a few short years, Scott went from covering Fuel on NBC’s The Voice to being one of his favorite band’s new lead singer.

“It’s one thing to sing a Fuel song on The Voice, but to step in as the new guy and have a part in this band’s amazing legacy is a dream I never thought possible,” says Scott. “Not only are these guys supremely talented and hardworking, they’re also amazing dudes and a blast to be around!  We’ve built a very strong chemistry in a short amount of time and it shows every time we hit the stage.”

Most excitingly, Fuel is headed back into the studio this year to work on new material as a follow-up to 2021’s Ånomåly.

“Look for a lot of new material and ideas we’re working up currently to be released,” promises Bell. “We’re pushing the envelope of what Fuel can sound like in 2024 and beyond.”

Founded in 1993 by Bell, Fuel would go on to unleash some of the most instantly iconic rock songs of the 90’s, including “Shimmer” from 1998’s Sunburn, as well as “Hemorrhage (In My Hands)” and “Bad Day” off 2000’s Something Like Human. To date, Sunburn is RIAA PLATINUM-certified while Something Like Human is 2X PLATINUM-certified. In 2013, "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)" became the No. 6 Alternative Rock song of the past 25 years according to Billboard's Alternative Chart 25th Anniversary: Top 100 Songs.
