Marking the return of live music tours, at least to some part of the globe, iconic band CROWDED HOUSE kicked off their “To The Island” tour in New Zealand at Christchurch Arena on Wednesday. With no social distancing or mask mandates currently in place, the band played to a sold-out crowd that was on their feet the entire night and had clearly waited a long time to see the return of live music. The opening night was described by Stuff.co.nz as “a magical cathartic night” in which “Crowded House made Garden City the epicenter of the music universe.” Founding members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour along with producer and keyboardist Mitchell Froom, guitarist and singer Liam Finn and drummer Elroy Finn delivered a slew of memorable performances from the band’s early hits as well as new music from their forthcoming album Dreamers Are Waiting set to release on June 4, 2021 – Available for pre-order HERE.
