Spirit of the Bear Announce New EP “There’s No Such Thing As Fire” To Be Released on July 15, New Single “The More Of You The Better” Out Now

Indie rock band Spirit of the Bear are thrilled to announce their new EP “There’s No Such Thing As Fire” to be released on July 15. To celebratethey have released another single, “The More Of You The Better” that is out now. This is the third single they havereleased that is included on the EP as well as the previously released tracks “Wires” and “Live on the Sun”.

The band says, “’The More Of You The Better’ is a shining example of us at a very experimental time in terms of how we wanted to write. Anyone who has listened to us for a long time has seen us dip our toes into the 70's aesthetic before, but for this song it felt like the only way it would work is if we fully leaned into that vibe. We all have such diverse influences amongst the band that at this point we’re all fans of each other’s favorite music so making a song like TMOYTB feels very natural even though it may seem like a huge jump from some of our other material. Making songs like these new ones we’ve been releasing has been so great, because it expands our song writing pallet and makes us that much more excited to discover what else we could come up with.”

Spirit of the Bear quickly became one of the most fresh and exciting bands to emerge in the Ohio music scene with their unique blend of indie rock, pop, and electronic sensibilities coupled with their affinity for pop song writing. The band’s years of musical experience are accentuated by their use of two keyboard players, bringing a unique depth to their sound. Consisting of James Harker (lead vocals, guitar), Danny Svenson (keys, electronics), Ethan Schwendeman (keys), and Jamie Vitullo (drums), Spirit of the Bear’s upcoming EP "There's No Such Thing As Fire is scheduled to come out July 15th.
